Garnet Lake, Ritter Range Backpacking Trip, July 2013

In two previous visits, I had only quickly hiked by Garnet Lake and was excited to have the opportunity this time to stop and explore. It is set in a relatively narrow, shallow valley framing the eastern face of Banner Peak. Our campsite on its southern shore was a great vantage point for sunset and sunrise shots.
