6 Day Photography Workshop in The Palouse
"The Palouse" is located in southeastern Washington and north central Idaho. It is a large (about 50x50 miles) picturesque area of extremely fertile random silt dunes deposited during the ice ages and is very well-known for its photographic opportunities (see wikipedia's writeup ). Last summer I spent a few hours on a drive back from the Coeur d'Alene area scouting the area for a future photographic outing, but I was quickly overwhelmed by the region's size and network of small rural roads. It was clear to me that I would need some help learning the area and finding good photographic opportunities. After some research I sign on with Gale Perry at Light Fantastic www.light-fantastic.com for her annual 6-day workshop. It was a very productive trip and, now that I know the "lay of the land", I can't wait to return for more explorations!
I did come back with a few "keepers" ... you can see them in the galleries below. Since there are around 50 images in each of the below galleries, I also pulled out a group of about 50 of my very favorite images.
