Arizona
The second photography workshop dedicated its last 3 days to visiting wildflower locations in Arizona. However, this Spring had a record poor wildflower bloom because no rain had fallen in the past 12 months, with even the usually reliable summer monsoon rains failing. As a result, we ended up visiting photogenic cactus locales in the Kofa and Superstition Mountains. Ironically, we were pretty much skunked by bad, rainy weather in the Supersitions. But that weather brought snow to the Grand Canyon's South Rim. So, on the drive back to Oregon, I stopped there and had a wonderful evening and morning session in the snow shooting the clearing storm over the Canyon.
