Fitz Roy Range
This was my third visit to this fabulous area (2007 Gallery & 2015 Gallery) and consisted of a wonderful 4 day trek along the eastern foot of the Fitz Roy Range. The first day and half were pretty cloudy, with new snow almost down to our camp during the night. So unfortunately we didn't see much of Cerro Torre. But the next day and half were mostly clear and sunny for our hikes to the Piedras Blancas Glacier lookout and up to Laguna de Los Tres at the base of Fitz Roy. The hike back to El Chalten on the last day was rainy. We were lucky – 1-1/2 good weather days out of 4 is a good percentage for southern Patagoria!
