India
The India portion of the trip was made up of 3 segments:
-
A "get-over-jetlag" four days where Andy & I explored a little of Delhi and the popular Rajasthan tourist spots of Jaipur and Agra (e.g., the Taj Mahal). Unlike the remainder of the trip, this segment was not photography "focused" – we only visited popular tourist attractions, and mostly in the middle of the day.
-
A 9 day Art Wolfe photography tour to northern India which visited the Kumbh Mela Hindu festival on the Ganges River, a short day in Delhi, and two days at the Rathambore tiger reserve. Art & local guides did a great job of getting us 10 photographers into fabulous locations & situations.
-
A Gavriel Jecan photography tour to India's eastern central state of Chhattisgarh. This is a seldom visited region filled with tribal cultures which the 5 of us explored over the course of 8 days.
