The Altiplano

The Altiiplano, also known as the Andean Plateau or Bolivian Plateau, is a 13,000+ foot plain that covers all of western Bolivia. It is dotted with scores of 20,000 foot snow capped volcanoes (some active), has large herds of llamas and vicuñas, as well as multi-colored lakes full of flamingos.
