New Website Technical Issues

Just a heads-up that if you experience one of the following problems at the Samco Family Website, you are not alone:

a) Some photo galleries are causing the browser to crash with an out of memory error. It seems to mostly happen in Internet Explorer 8 (IE8) and Safari on the iPad.

b) After tapping/clicking on an image and viewing its underlaying stuff (e.g., an movable panorama), you are returned to the very beginning of the photo gallery and not to the image you tapped/clicked.

The folks who provide my underlaying software are working to solve them both — hopefully we will see them solved soon!

Images Used in Bolivian Travel Website

When we were in Bolivia in 2008, we had Todo Turismo make our travel arrangements. As a result we had a fabulous trip, in large part due to Reinaldo Pou Munt, our guide. Last month Cecilia at Todo Turismo contacted me — they were designing a new website and Reinaldo had thought that I might have some images they could use. I gave Cecilia the link to my Bolivian images and she came back requesting use of twenty-some! Better yet, she had loved sharing them with her elderly mother who had not been able to visit many of the SW Bolivian areas that I have photographed. Well, Todo Turismo’s new website is complete and my photos are sprinkled throughout. Of particular pride are the website’s top banner photos, 7 of them. Just repeatedly hit the top right “English Flag” button to randomly view them.
