Rural Life

Although the focus of our time in Bagan revolved around its Buddhist ruins and activities, we were also fortunate to observe rural life in general. As we saw in India, there was much gathering and threshing of crops. We also saw the production of peanut oil via an ox press, the making of bamboo lacquerware and other products, and a Buddhist funeral.
