In early August, I backpacked into one of my favorite Oregon Cascades locations: Upper Canyon Creek Meadows, at the foot of the imposing eastern face of Three Fingered Jack. I was aiming to visit at its peak wildflower bloom…and did! As an added bonus, I was able to get some photos of the local mountain goats.
